On October 15, 2005 a group of seven animators at RIT locked themselves in a basement for 24 hours and created this animation. I was one of them. The rest of the crew was Dave Suroviec, Nathaniel Hubbell, Bill Robinson, R.J. Pena, and the entire project was directed by the wonderful Joe Daniels and Jed Mitchell. With our powers combined, we are known as the "Nancy Commandos". Anyways, this film debuted today at RIT, and we are all really excited about it.
There are actually two of these - the second to come shortly. Its too bad I never get assignments until the day they are due, or I might actually do something nice for them...
While I was supposed to be doing other work yesterday, I decided to sketch this tree. Turns out, the topic for Illustration Friday this week is "roots", so I guess I'll put it to good use after all!
Yes, it is the beginning of an era. Last week was the cell phone, this week is the blog. Who knows, maybe an actual website is in my future. I will start posting actual artwork soon, but it is one little baby-step at a time for me.
