SketchCrawl and More Figure Drawings

Here is my one page of sketches from Saturday's Sketchcrawl through Chinatown. Slow start for me, but a good time none the less. Chinatown is so ornate and beautiful - it is so easy to get lost in all of the little details.

And here are a few more figure drawings! Hopefully I will have some more exciting things to post soon!

Beautiful figure drawings. Your Chinatown sketches our fun too. I love Chinese architecture and decor.

great stuff! I'm sure we saw each other at sketchcrawl, but holy cow a lot of people showed up and it's so hard not to get caught in that trap of talking all day instead of drawing all day :)

I was wondering, is there a name for the style of shading you used? it's like cross-hatching, only in sections... it adds a cool texture.

Thanks guys!

Danny - I'm not sure that there is a name for that style - I totally stole that style from one of my friends. Wish I could be more helpful there!

Great sketches! I love the fluid shape of the bottom pose, and the great shading.

Love your SC17 sketches. The 2 page spread looks awesome. You got a good amount of sketches done. Bravo!
