Another stretch for Illustration Friday, I know. My friend Bill and I have been working on several pieces each for the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society's 2nd Annual "Purrr-casso" Art Sale and Gala, and I FINALLY finished mine. The only stipulation was that the art needed to be cat themed, so this is what I came up with. The proceeds from the show will benefit the animal shelter, which runs on donations alone. I love having the excuse to make art for a good cause....makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Anyway, if you live in the Bay Area and like what you see, come to the show on Sunday, Nov. 4th. You can read more about it here. Hope to see you there!
Have a great weekend!

This is lovely work! I like the warm colors, the details, and especially the line work. I used to work for the SPCA...and I'm all for the animals. Good cause!
I like nice, stretchy characters you created, you have a very flowing line. Also you're great with watercolors!
Maybe it is a stretch for the word this week but I love the images, have a lot of style and just let the eye flow. I enjoy these!
Great drawings. I love the cats. Nice line work and watercolor.
Beautiful! I love the kitten one.

I love the first one.

I really like your style - the cat paintings are all lovely! Hope you make LOTS of money for the Humane Society!
I love your characters, they're gorgous, great use of colour too. Hope they make lots money for the animals.
Hi, my wife and I really loved what we saw here. I would love to know more about your work. I guess you must be very busy, so if you can’t answer me by e-mail or something like that, please try to say something about your technique in the next posts.
Thanks,
Paulinho.
OH I love your style!!!!
I like the way you paint the light contre-jour in these and previous illustrations here.
And these cute cats!
Breathtakingly beautiful! Great colors! Please be incredibly proud of yourself for this.
WoooooW!!!!
wow, this is watercolor?? These are really beautiful. Color, line, character...great job!
Your work is awesome and it's great you're doing this for the furry friends. Nice job!
This is absolutely lovely, I feel like a poor designer when I look at your work.
Very nice drawing. Strong character and storytelling.
Beautiful images. The white cat lying on the blonde's lap and the red one playing with the ball of yarn are my favourite.
Love your works!

i usually dont like the character aspect of most drawings but this stuff is great!!
Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much for this post. A combination of advice that I've heard before but always bears repeating; plus new tips that I really ought to consider
