Harry Potter Tribute Show: Expecto Patronum

The second of my two Potter pieces - Harry defending Ron and Hermione from Dementors with the use of his Patronus charm. His stag patronus is just so cool, I couldn't help myself.

Both of my Harry Potter pieces (as well as many others) will be on display starting this Saturday, July 9th, at Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra, CA. The opening reception is going to be awesome, so be sure to stop by if you can!

Also, my Introduction to the Owlry piece is part of an online auction for the Harry Potter tribute show. You can view and bid on 11 of the pieces in the show right here. Have a wonderful weekend, and I hope to see you at the show!

The stag turned out really great! I also love how the magic smoke (or whatever you call that stuff) intertwines through the design. Very cool.

  26. Wonderful artwork! congratulations! Greetings from my blog! XD

  27. Brittney, I don't know how you do it; each piece is better than the last. On a recent visit to Disney I had a chance to see your original Little Mermaid piece, and I have to say how happy I am that you have turned this original craft into such a stunning career. I'm sure if you had said to someone 5 years ago, "I'm going to make paper cut-outs and become a visual development artist at Disney!" they would have rolled their eyes. Well, thank you for proving that if you follow your passions, success will come.

  30. Hi, your work is amazing and I just wanted to say that I have been in an artistic rut for about 4 or 5 months now and your work has truly inspired me. The last finished piece that I worked on that I was really happy with was a cut paper illustration for the secret garden. Thanks to you and your amazing work I finally feel motivated to do more cut paper and have remembered some of what I love about illustration. Thank you so much. :)

I especially like this Patronus piece - the stag is totally majestic and the swirl of dementors cloaks looks much more appropriate than whatever we were shown in the movies.

    Damn, again, this is amazing!

  62. The patronus stag really reminds me of the forest god from the animated film Princess Mononoke (Mononoke Hime). And I mean that in a very positive way, seeing as how that that whole movie is one heck of an art piece. Image: http://www.roberthood.net/daikaiju-antho/contributors/images/mononoke.jpg

The purple and white-ish colors are really beautiful, and the stag is very well done. It's a shame you can't sell print's of these on your etsy page. I would have bought one at once! Nice work anyway.

If these were made from recycled materials, these will even be better than best. Anyway, thank you for this post. This will truly inspire other artists to create their master pieces.
